JoAnn Buck, daughter of Joner and Golden (Alexander) Pendergrass was born on June 15, 1934, in Springfield, Missouri and passed away on February 16, 2006, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy-one.

JoAnn was saved in 1950 and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Mountainburg, Arkansas. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting dolls, playing on her computer, shopping, reading her bible, listening to gospel music, talking to people and spending time with her cat, Amy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce James and her husband Jim and Sandra Langley and her husband Thomas, both of Mountainburg, Arkansas; one step-son, Gerry Buck, of Mansfield, Arkansas; one brother, Gary Pendergrass and his wife Anita, of Springfield; three sisters, Betty Warren, of Springfield, Donna Rogers and her husband Kenny, also of Springfield and Linda Melton and her husband Ron, of Halltown; twelve grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garland; one sister, Louise Goble and one daughter, Billie Sue Maggard.

JoAnn never met a stranger. From going up and hugging a person in K-Mart "That just needed a hug that day" to taking a present to the postmaster. She loved people.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her humorous wit, her contagious laughter, endearing smile and adventurous ways.

An angel has left this earth and entered Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in the chapel of Thieme-Shadel Funeral Service at Rivermonte with interment following in the Hopedale Cemetery.
